The story of the body
is still being written.
Every generation inherits the discoveries of those who came before and builds upon them. What once seemed revolutionary becomes the foundation for the next breakthrough, revealing new layers of complexity and wonder within the human body.
BodyTruther explores what science has discovered, what researchers are uncovering today, and how new insights are reshaping our understanding of health, aging, and everyday well-being.
Our goal is to help curious people understand how the body really works, evaluate health claims more clearly, and follow the evidence wherever it leads.
What BodyTruther Is
BodyTruther is a science-informed resource for people who want to understand the human body better.
Here you'll find clear explanations of how the body works, what researchers are discovering, and what current evidence suggests about health, human performance, aging, and the biological processes that shape our lives.
Some ideas are well established. Others are still evolving.
Our goal is to help curious people understand the body more clearly.
Why BodyTruther Exists
We Know More Than Ever
Scientific discoveries are expanding our understanding of the body at an unprecedented pace.
Trust Has Become Harder
AI, deepfakes, marketing, and misinformation make it harder to separate fact from fiction.
Why BodyTruther Exists
BodyTruther helps people understand the body and navigate an increasingly complex information landscape.
The story of the body is still being written. Understanding that story requires thoughtful exploration, critical thinking, and a willingness to follow the evidence wherever it leads.
What You'll Find Here

It's a lot, right? That's because the body isn't organized into neat categories. Everything affects everything else. That's why how we approach these questions matters.
Our Approach
Be curious, ask why, and decide if it makes sense—or if more questions must be asked.
Is it really that simple?
Yes and No.
At the most basic level, that is the core approach, but the body is incredibly complex. Sometimes the answers are not very clear. That can make figuring out the right questions to ask very hard.
That often means that the basic principles are murky, or new findings have put everything we know into question.
Take gravity for example:
We can predict gravitational effects with extraordinary precision. Yet we still do not have a complete understanding that reconciles gravity with quantum mechanics.
So, we ask again, get some answers, decide if they make sense, and decide if more questions must be asked.
This "Rinse & Repeat" process is the scientific method,
and that is our approach.
About the Founder
BodyTruther was founded by Russ Dollinger, PhD, an anatomist, science educator, author, and lifelong student of how the human body works.
For more than four decades, Russ has taught science to audiences ranging from elementary school students to medical students. His career has included teaching, writing, publishing, and developing educational tools designed to make complex ideas easier to understand.
BodyTruther combines that passion for science education with a simple belief:
People make better decisions when they understand how their bodies actually work.
The goal is not to tell people what to think, but to help them ask better questions, understand the evidence more clearly, and navigate an increasingly complex world of health information.
The story of the body is still being written. Let's explore it together.
